| A two hour wait in cold overcast conditions was rewarded with a bright ten-minute sunset, as the sun dropped below the cloud on the south-western horizon, before quickly disappearing. The Fiddler offers the finest viewpoint of the Inverpollaidh / Assynt mountains (Stac Pollaidh on the left and Suilven featuring in these images), and the folded sandstone on The Fiddler's summit provides a captivating foreground. A year later I revisited The Fiddler at sunset, and the light was again exceptional. Date: 19 October 2012 Location : Sgurr an Fhidhleir, Coigach
