Achmelvich Bay rarely disappoints for colour or drama. Turquoise sea, white sand and hard rock (Lewisian Gneiss) – usually accompanied by highly chageable conditions driven by the prevailing westerly winds. The view above is of the main beach, and below is of the neighbouring bay to the north - the "hidden beach" of Achmelvich - a true Highland gem.
